Videos Promoting Mobile Money

Over the years, video has been one of the most effective ways to promote mobile money as well as to share the value proposition of using this new technology. I plan to regularly update this site with compelling videos that help to educate others about mobile money.

Some of my favorite videos include:

Safaricom’s Award Winning Video This easy-to-understand ad promoting MPESA in Kenya was extremely effective at getting people excited about this service.

Mobile Money for Bankers In promoting the value proposition of mobile money to rural banks in the Philippines, Globe Telecom discovered that videos like this one were effective at helping bankers and their clients to better understand how mobile money could be used to promote greater access to banking services.

The success of this overall initiative between USAID, Globe Telecom and rural banks was later highlighted in this video.

News Stories Promoting Mobile Money For Development This CNN report from the World Food Programme is a great example of how AID agencies can make use of mobile money during emergencies.

Video Ads Promoting Use Cases for Businesses  This video ad from Tigo Ghana is an interesting way to promote the real use cases of mobile money for small businesses.

Please feel free to share your interesting videos on mobile money here as well.
